A Moving Story — 68 Days Left

Well 68 days left till our contract in Kentucky runs out and we still have not sold this house yet, but I know who is in control and it certainly isn’t me.  The hits continue to rise on the two sites where the house is listed, but no more phone calls yet.

This is the time where most people would be starting into panic mode, but we still have “the peace that passes all understanding.”  If we did not have the assurance that God is in control we would be panicing too.  I have spent most of my life learning to trust Him and it is no different now.

Well enough for now I am sure you have better things to do than reading more about nothing new has happened yet.  Keep us in your prayers.

A Moving Story VII

Not much to say today as nothing new has happened.  Hits on the two sites where the house is posted are still going up slowly, but no more phone calls yet.  I still think the lady who toured the house yesterday would be an ideal buyer and would care for the house as we have.

I still am satisfied that God will bring the right buyer at the right time.  Please keep us in your prayers.

A Moving Story – First Contact

We put this house on three different sites, of course it is down to two now, but our first showing was today and they did not know we were on the web.  A very nice person drove by yesterday but though they liked it they had other call to make.  Today with no-one to show her the way this new to Reno lady found the house again and after calling stopped by to see the place.

Yesterday she thought it was “a darling little house.”  She loves it and thinks it would be perfect for her.  She went around with her sister yesterday and a Realtor and found everything she saw to be over priced and in fair to run down condition.  She loves this place but it will take a bit more looking and getting finances set before she can make a contracted offer.  It may sound silly to you but all other things aside this is the person that I would like to have our home.  Isn’t it odd how attached you can get to a house.  I mean we have to sell it but you want the next owner to love and care for it like you do.

Well God is certainly at work here.  Keep us in your prayers.

A Moving Story Continues

Now we have 70 days left in our adventure, saga, or what ever you call it.  Nothing new has happened, but there seem to be a lot of flyers disappearing from the Information tube on our For Sale sign.  To me this is a good sign because it means some people are interested enough to stop their car or what ever and open the tube to take the flyer.

Well I will not waste your time with chit-chat but will just say that God is still in control and we are still trusting Him to get this relocation done.  Keep us in your prayers and you are in ours.

A Moving Story update

Ok I promised to write here every day but unfortunately I was taken to the hospital Friday and have been undergoing tests and a doctor’s order to take it very easy for the next few days.  Why is it that the worst place to get any rest at all is a hospital?

Does this sway my faith?  No!  All things work together for good to those who love Him and those who are the called according to His purpose.  Is not my words but is a promise in the handbook for life.

I must get off here now as I am being told in no uncertain words that I must go rest.

Keep us in your prayers.

A Moving Story 3

Well 74 days left and we are still waiting for that phone call from the buyer who absolutely wants and needs this house.  It is a shame we got a phone call from ForSaleByOwner.com where we had signed up for a free listing for 14 days.  They wanted us to upgrade to a rather expensive new plan.  We told them no thank you we can not afford it, so they closed our account immediately and we had 3 full days left.  I am in the process of building a website where we can put up pictures of the house.  I cannot at this time afford to get a really full featured account but there are some free sites available.

I am still confident that this house will be sold and bring us the money we need to buy the house in Kentucky that we have a contract on.  It took God only 6 days to build the world, so I am sure He can if it is His will bring us the buyer that we need.  He did it when we needed to move here to help my mother.  We felt it was His will at that time to move here.  Our work here now is finished.  My mother passed away a couple of years ago and all the other things we felt needed to be done are now done, and it is our belief that it is Gods’ will that we move back to Kentucky.

I am going to make this short today as I have other things to do, but I want to keep you updated.  I could also use some replies, do you think I am nuts, or do you keep us in your prayers.  Good bad or indifferent  I would love to hear from you.

A Moving Story Part 2

I noticed that in my post yesterday I mentioned that we had a 90 day contract for our next home.  Well the 90 days did not start yesterday and in fact today puts us to the point where we have 75 days left.  Somebody somewhere must have seen the post because there was a tremendous surge in the viewings of our house for sale here in Reno.  It is mysterious because the Dashboard for this blog shows only 3 viewers of the blog yet the sites showed and increase of 30 or better for people looking at our listing.

Yes we are selling it ourselves because I would rather that the new owner and us could save the 6% and save us both some money.  I hope that the viewers of this blog and of our listings goes up.  One of the listings we will lose in 4 days because we can not afford to pay the amount of money they want.  Unfortunately it is also the only one that has more than one picture.  I will set up another listing soon where I can put up even more pictures and maybe a video. If you plug the address into Google Earth there is a picture of the house there though it is an older shot and the trees are bigger now.

Some person may stumble onto this blog and wonder why I am keeping it, the answer is simple.  I believe it will take a miracle to sell this house and buy our new one in the time allotted.  But I also believe that God can and will do it.  If He does you are able to watch a wonder of God’s taking a hand in our lives, and if He does not then I misunderstood what I felt was His leading.  I will lose no faith and will stay a firm believer in Him.  I can make mistakes, but He can’t.  Perhaps someone out there needs this blog because I would never put it up of my own volition but I also felt led to put it here.

I will try to keep this a daily post so all can see what is happening.  Again keep us in your prayers.
